Fulham are set to go head-to-head with Sunderland for the services of Iceland international Solvi Ottesen in the January window.
The 25-year-old central defender has impressed this season while playing in Denmark with Sonderjyske which has resulted in interest from several clubs across Europe. However, after Ottesen's agent Gulli Tomasson revealed the player's priority is to clinch a move to England's Premier League, Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson looks like doing battle with his Black Cats counterpart Steve Bruce to snap him up.
"There are a lot of clubs watching Solvi as he has been playing really well," Tomasson told skysports.com.
"I have heard about Sunderland and Fulham, but it is just speculation so far.
"Solvi is highly ambitious and of course he would be interested in playing in the Premier League in England.
"There have been some offers for him and we will see what happens in January."
