Cottagers target eyes Prem switch

FulhamReported Fulham target Mark Bresciano has revealed that he would be interested in leaving Italian side Palermo for an English club.

The 28-year-old Australian international midfielder almost moved to the Premier League last summer, but a move to Manchester City collapsed. Fulham were then credited with an interest during the January transfer window shortly after boss Roy Hodgson took over the job at Craven Cottage.

Bresciano opted to stay put in Italy's Serie A at the time, but now says that he would probably jump at the opportunity to play in the Premier League if the chance arises in the close-season following a frustrating campaign with Palermo.

Bresciano is currently in his homeland preparing for upcoming clashes with Iraq, Qatar and China, but told Goldcoast.com: "Mentally, I wasn't there [at Palermo] for five or six months. It's hard to do.

"Hopefully, I've got all my bad luck out of the way.

"I don't know where [I'm going] at the moment. I've told my agent not to bother me unless it's something certain.

"But I'd still be interested in England. I've always wanted to test myself in The Premier League."
