Deal on for Liege stopper

Fulham have reportedly had an £800,000 offer accepted for Standard Liege's Turkish goalkeeper Sinan Bolat.

The 24-year old has been training with the Cottagers, as he attempts to recover from a long-term knee injury but has impressed boss Martin Jol and now it has been suggested an offer of just under £1million has been put on the table.

Bolat is out of contract in the summer and is keen to make the grade in England rather than return to the Belgian league with Standard.

Bolat, who has been capped four times by Turkey, could initially join Fulham as cover for number one Mark Schwarzer with a view to eventually becoming first-choice himself.

Fulham were last week forced to recall David Stockdale from his loan spell at Hull City to act as first-team back-up after fellow keeper Neil Etheridge suffered an injury.
