Dempsey drops future hint

FulhamOut-of-favour striker Clint Dempsey has admitted he is finding it hard convincing Roy Hodgson he is worthy of a start at Fulham.

The USA international was brought in by former manager Chris Coleman and became a big hit with the Craven Cottage faithful for his all-action performances.

However, the 25-year-old has found first-team chances hard to come by following the summer arrival of Zoltan Gera and has only started one game this season - the Carling Cup defeat to Burnley.

Dempsey has hinted he could be forced to leave Fulham in search of first-team football and told the News of the World: "The coach here now is not the one who brought me in so it's difficult proving that I deserve to be on the field."
