Duo give Hodgson plenty to ponder

FulhamErik Nevland and Seol Ki-Hyeon both boosted their chances of a first-team start with goals in the reserves' win over West Ham.

Nevland and Seol were partnered up front and each contributed with a goal in the 4-1 second-string victory to give boss Roy Hodgson plenty to think about ahead of the home clash with Sunderland a week on Saturday.

Nevland had already wasted two good chances and had a goal ruled out before he finally broke the deadlock from close range just before half time.

Seol, who came off the bench in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom last weekend, then got in on the act adding a second soon after the restart.

Julian Gray was another fringe player who impressed and his pressure on Ryan O'Neill forced the Hammers man into putting through his own net for the third goal before Wayne Brown scored a delightful fourth late on.
