Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker is a reported target for Birmingham, Bolton and Blackburn while Fulham and Arsenal have been linked.
The future of the former England Under-21 skipper took another twist last week when he was named as captain for the 5-1 hammering of the Trotters - just a few weeks after being sent home from training following a bust-up with boss Martin O'Neill.
£5m-rated Reo-Coker, who was placed on stand-by for the last World Cup, has seen his career stall since arriving at Villa Park from West Ham in July 2007 and has just 18 months to go on his deal.
And there seems to be no shortage of interest in the 25-year-old whose next move could be crucial if he is to go on and win full international honours.
Reo-Coker would have been hoping to take Gareth Barry's place in the side following his move to Man City, but he looks to be behind Steve Sidwell and even youngster Fabian Delph in the fight to partner club captain Stilian Petrov in the heart of midfield.
