Fulham Cook-ing up deal

FulhamFulham are reportedly holding out for £1.7m for Lee Cook who is desperate to turn his loan at QPR into a permanent deal.

Cook spent last season with the Cottagers but never made a competitive appearance following knee trouble and was loaned to Charlton when he did return to full fitness.

However, the Rangers fan returned to Loftus Road in the summer on a season-long loan and has since admitted he wants to seal a full-time switch as quickly as possible.

Cook said: "As far as I'm concerned I'm going to be at QPR for the next three-and-a-half years at least. It's a football club that I've supported all my life, so I can't think of anywhere better to play my football."

Cook famously donated his Fulham signing-on fee to QPR but was only sold to finance the club's debt before massive investment came in from Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone a matter of months later.
