However, the Rangers fan returned to Loftus Road in the summer on a season-long loan and has since admitted he wants to seal a full-time switch as quickly as possible.
Cook said: "As far as I'm concerned I'm going to be at QPR for the next three-and-a-half years at least. It's a football club that I've supported all my life, so I can't think of anywhere better to play my football."
Cook famously donated his Fulham signing-on fee to QPR but was only sold to finance the club's debt before massive investment came in from Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone a matter of months later.
