Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has reportedly had a bid for striker Kalu Uche turned down by Spanish outfit Almeria.

The 26-year-old Nigerian is in demand with Spurs also thought to be interested and it has been reported in the Spanish media that Fulham's initial offer of 2.3million euros has been rejected by Almeria.

Alermia boss Hugo Sanchez is desperate to hold on to Uche, having lost star striker Alvaro Negredo already, but it is thought if Fulham double their offer they may be able to persuade Almeria to part company with the highly-rated hitman.
