Fulham have beaten off competition from West Ham to sign Kostas Mitroglou from Olympiakos in deal worth over £11million.
The Greece international is believed to have been in talks with the Cottagers since they agreed to his club's asking price on Tuesday, but reports on Friday suggested West Ham had made a late move for him.
Speculation suggested the 25-year-old had met with representatives of the Hammers but has opted for a move to Fulham instead, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Cottagers.
Mitroglou has been in outstanding form for Olympiakos this season, scoring 14 goals in 12 Super League appearances.
The Greek's arrival at Fulham signals the end of Dimitar Berbatov's 18 months at Craven Cottage, the Bulgarian having flown to Monaco to complete his move to the Ligue 1 outfit.
