Fulham are keen on Evian's 3million euro-rated midfielder Rabiu Mohammed but face competition from Benfica, reports in Ghana suggest.
Mohammed, who has been capped eight times by the Black Stars, is expected to leave Evian during the summer and Fulham officials are believed to have held talks with the French side regarding a potential deal.
However, Portuguese giants Benfica are also believed to have opened discussions with Evian and Fulham boss Martin Jol could face a battle to capture the highly-rated 23-year-old.
Both Fulham and Benfica are willing to match Evian's 3million euro asking price, while Marseille have also been credited with an interest in Mohammed.
