Fulham target Derek Boateng is set to undergo a medical at Greek giants Olympiakos ahead of a proposed move from Russia this week.

The Dnipro midfielder came close to joining Fulham in the January transfer window, but the move collapsed over a contract dispute.

Boateng, 29, was unable to secure a release from his contract and had looked to take his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to try and secure his release.

However, Boateng has agreed personal terms with the Greek champions who are keen to end his Russian nightmare.

He is well known in Greece after a successful three-year spell in the top flight having played for Kalamata, Panathinaikos and OFI Crete.

Boateng was a member of the Ghana squad which finished fourth at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
