Gers told of Davis terms

FulhamRangers have been told by Steven Davis' agent they will have to produce a cash-only deal for the Fulham midfielder.

The Ibrox outfit had hoped to include striker Daniel Cousin as a makeweight in the transfer but the Craven Cottage club, who had a £3million offer accepted for the Gabon international in January, have dropped their interest.

Now, the Uefa Cup finalists have been told to put the wheels in motion because of interest from West Ham and Middlesbrough.

Rob Segal, agent of 23-year-old Northern Ireland international Davis, told the Mail on Sunday: "I think Fulham have no interest in Daniel Cousin - so this is a straight deal for Rangers and Fulham to do.

"There is a certain amount of urgency now because I think Rangers are back in training in a few weeks and Steven definitely wants it concluded.

"The clubs are in conversation to see if they can come to an agreement. Hopefully we are heading in the right direction."
