Hodgson eyes Aussie swoop

FulhamFulham have been linked with a £3million swoop for Torino's Australian international midfielder Vince Grella.

Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson has reportedly made a move for the 28-year-old, who is looking to test his abilities in England following a spell in Italy's Serie A.

If Grella does move to Craven Cottage he will help bolster Hodgson's midfield options and link up with his Socceroos goalkeeper team-mate Mark Schwarzer, who joined from Middlesbrough at the end of last season.

Meanwhile Zoltan Gera scored his first goal for Fulham as they ended their tour of Korea with a 2-1 victory over Ulsan Hyundai.

Lee Jin Ho had put Ulsan in front on 32 minutes with a header from six yards, before Simon Davies levelled 12 minutes into the second half and Gera grabbed the winner on 79 minutes.
