Hodgson eyes Villa deal

FulhamAston Villa striker Marlon Harewood is wanted by Fulham, Rangers and Stoke this summer, according to his agent.

Harewood failed to nail down a regular starting place at Villa Park last season after arriving from West Ham for £4m and boss Martin O'Neill is tipped to let him move on if he can recover the majority of the fee he paid to the Hammers.

Fulham need a targetman to replace Brian McBride while the Potters must add some Premier League know-how to their squad, with the Gers looking to bolster their options for another Champions League tilt.

Harewood's agent Phil Sproson told The Mirror: "Stoke are interested in Marlon, but clubs like Fulham and Rangers are also interested, so it's a case of watch this space."

Harewood is still under contract for two more seasons and has also been linked with ambitious Championship outfit QPR.
