Johnson joins Fulham revolution

FulhamAndy Johnson is today expected to complete his £12million to Fulham from Premier League rivals Everton.

The England international underwent a medical on Monday having not been included in the party that flew to the United States for Everton's training camp on Sunday.

A statement on the Everton official website read: "Everton can confirm that it has agreed an eight-figure sum with Fulham for the services of Andrew Johnson.

"This is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and negotiating a medical."

Sunderland and Wigan had also been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, but Johnson's desire to return to London for family reasons meant Craven Cottage boss Roy Hodgson was always in pole position to sign him.

Johnson, who scored 22 goals in 74 appearances in the past two seasons, will form a new-look strikeforce with fellow new-boy Bobby Zamora, while the likes of Jimmy Bullard, Antti Niemi, Lee Cook, Moritz Volz and possibly David Healy could now be offloaded to balance the books.
