Jol eyes Molde swoop

Martin Jol has been linked with a possible January swoop to take FK Molde defender Vegard Forren to Fulham.

The Cottagers boss has been scouring the market for new faces to bolster his squad at Craven Cottage during the New Year window and it appears 24-year-old Forren is high on his wanted list.

Jol has sent scouts to watch the stopper in action on several occasions during the past season as Molde secured the Norwegian title for the second time in succession under the leadership of former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has also been linked with a swoop for Forren, but Jol would no doubt be in a position to give him more first-team Premier League football if he made the move to London.

Solskjaer will not want to lose his best players as he will look to make it three-in-a-row next term, but if a club comes up with a sizeable fee in January then it will be difficult to turn down.
