Burnley boss Sean Dyche has been impressed by on-loan Alex Kacaniklic and has revealed he would love to sign the youngster.

The 21-year-old joined up with the Championship side at the beginning of March on a loan deal until the end of the campaign and has since made two starts for the north-west side.

Dyche has hailed the Swedish international's impact on the mid-table side and revealed that he would love to be able to secure a permanent deal for the winger.

The former Watford boss is realistic about his chances of keeping the Fulham man and conceded that he may be out of his price range.

"I'm imagining it would be unlikely, but if it's not I'd be buzzing. I might even get my own money out to sign him!" said Dyche.

"He's a young talent. He's a very good player but he's 30 games or so into his career, so he's got more development to come.

"He's hungry for development and all credit to him."
