Latics eye former ace

FulhamFulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard has emerged as a summer transfer target for former club Wigan.

Bullard played a key role as the Cottager successfully fought off the threat of relegation last season which has alerted Latics chief Steve Bruce.

Bruce has already added Olivier Kapo to his squad and he see Bullard as an ideal partner in the heart of his midfield.

Bullard joined Fulham from Wigan in 2006 for £2.5m but suffered a serious knee injury a few games into his Cottagers career which kept him out for over 12 months.
