Moussa to keep midfield spot

Martin Jol will continue with Moussa Dembele in a midfield role as Fulham welcome struggling Wolves to Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The Cottagers boss has moved the highly-rated Belgian forward back into a midfield role alongside Danny Murphy in recent games and the player has not disappointed with some impressive performances.

As a result Jol has no plans to push him further up the field ahead of the Wolves clash this weekend, especially after his clever backheel played in Pavel Pogrebnyak to score the only goal of the game in last week's London derby win at QPR.

Jol told the Fulham Chronicle: "Over the last couple of weeks it has really paid off. Moussa's one of our best players, very good on the ball and getting better.

"If he plays as a forward he's still young and inexperienced. If he scores four or five goals they will probably say he's not, [but] in midfield he is top class. It's a good move for him and he likes it."

In-form January signing, Pogrebnyak, will keep his place in attack alongside Andrew Johnson after he returned from injury at Loftus Road last week.

However the match will come too soon for new signing Mahamadou Diarra, who is lacking in match fitness having not played since leaving Monaco last season.
