Neil Warnock claims Crystal Palace have been approached about the possibility of signing Fulham striker Eddie Johnson.

The American frontman spent all of last season on loan at Championship club Cardiff City and looks surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage, with Andy Johnson, Bobby Zamora, Eric Nevland and Diomansy Kamara ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 25-year-old is expected to move on in the close season and Palace are now considering making a move for the former Kansas City Wizards player.

Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent, but we don't know if we are going to follow it up. It's an option."
