The agent of Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg claims Fulham are one of several Premier League options available to him.
The Dutch custodian's days at the Stadio Olimpico appear to be numbered as he has found himself on the bench behind Mauro Goicoechea in recent weeks with reports suggesting he has had problems with Roma coach Zdenek Zeman.
Cottagers coach Martin Jol is being linked with a swoop for a new goalkeeper as he wants a long-term replacement for veteran Mark Schwarzer and a move for his fellow countryman could be on the cards.
Stekelenburg's agent Rob Jansen confirmed that his client is unhappy with his current predicament and revealed that Jol is watching developments closely. But there maybe a lot more clubs than Fulham in for his signature if he is made available this month.
"It's a serious problem of course between him and the coach," Jansen told Goal.com.
"We are dealing with the situation with Roma in a very transparent and correct way. He's not made any final decision about leaving or whether he will stay there.
"We are looking at the market and if we have to act then we know what to do. The Premier League is one of the best competitions in the world so for every player wants to experience that.
"We are working on some things. It's true Martin Jol knows him well, but there are more situations which we are dealing with at the moment.
"There are more options that could be a possibility but we are moving step by step. It could be by the end of January and otherwise we will pick it up later on."
