Roy reveals Gera plan

FulhamFulham boss Roy Hodgson could deploy new boy Zoltan Gera as a support striker next season after landing him on a free.

The Hungary international rejected the advances of half-a-dozen clubs in order to link up with the Cottagers after falling out of contract at West Brom.

And Hodgson has now revealed Gera will provide him with a number of options as he bids to get Fulham competing at the right end of the Premier League table.

"We got to know that his contract was to expire in June and we would have a chance to sign him, so we did our best to get him," said Hodgson about the deal.

"I'm really happy that he's chosen us. Gera is extremely technical, very good in the air and in front of goal. He can be used as a midfielder or an attacker, he's versatile and a good footballer."
