Stoor steered to Fulham

FulhamSweden defender Fredrik Stoor believes his move to Fulham will help him progress on the international stage.

The 24-year-old is ready to put pen-to-paper at Craven Cottage, despite late interest from Wigan, and could be unveiled alongside fellow new-boy Andy Johnson.

Stoor believes he has served his time with Norwegian side Rosenborg and is ready to test himself in the Premier League under the stewardship of manager Roy Hodgson.

"I couldn't refuse the opportunity to play in the Premier League," Stoor told Adresseavisen.

He added: "I have become a better player at Rosenborg, but I am hoping that the Fulham transfer will allow me to consolidate my place in the national team.

"I have experience of big matches, both with Rosenborg and the national team, but now I will get the chance to play big matches every weekend."
