Marcello Trotta has said that he wants to play for Italian side Napoli in the future but is aiming to get into the Fulham XI first.
The Italian Under-19 international has recently joined up with League One side Brentford on a loan deal following on from his first stint at Griffin Park, where he played in the second half of last season and scored nine goals in 29 appearances.
Trotta will return to Craven Cottage in January and look to force his way into boss Martin Jol's first-team plans by impressing with the Bees in the next couple of months.
However he also revealed a desire to one day return to his homeland and line up for Napoli.
He told Tuttomercatoweb: "If there were opportunities in Italy I would evaluate them. One day I'd like to return to wear the blue shirt [of Napoli].
"This is an important year for me because I hope to help my current team, Brentford, achieve the goal of promotion and increase my tally of goals, but also because I want to be able to secure a chance in the Fulham first team after three seasons out on loan."
