The agent of Twente winger Nacer Chadli has offered hope for Fulham in their transfer pursuit by claiming he wants a move to England.
Chadli has been linked with a switch to Craven Cottage from the Dutch side and has been tracked by Cottagers boss Martin Jol for some time.
The player is apparently settled playing for Steve McClaren's Twente and a deal would only seem possible in the summer. But now his agent has opened the door to a move away, with Fulham touted as his next destination, although some top Italian sides remain keen too.
"A transfer to Fulham is always on the agenda", Chadli's representative Daniel Evrard told Calcio Mercato in Italy.
"In Italy, I have not heard of anything, but I know that Genoa and AC Milan consistently send scouts to Holland but he prefers to go to England."
The agent added: "A departure in January does not seem an option as Twente are leading the league so far and the management want to get into the Champions League.
"He still has a contract until 2014."
Chadli, 23, joined Twente in 2010 and has gone on to establish himself as a key player for them in the Eredivisie since.
