Venlo wing man in Jol's sights

Martin Jol is reportedly in a battle to try and lure VVV Venlo winger Yanic Wildschut to Fulham, possibly in the January window.

It is being reported that the Cottagers boss has been keeping tabs on the highly-rated 20-year-old, who is a product of the highly regarded Ajax academy and is also a regular in the Holland Under-21 side.

Following a run of seven goals in 29 appearances for Venlo, after joining the club in the summer of 2011 from FC Zwolle, Jol is set to test the water with an offer for the left-sided winger when the New Year transfer window opens or possibly next summer.

However, if Jol is planning to make a bid for Wildschut, who has been valued at 3.5million euros and fancies a move to the Premier League, then he will almost certainly face a fight for his signature from rivals Swansea and Newcastle.
