Whites prepare bid for Danish striker

Fulham have enquired about a deal for Brondby's £3.4m-rated Danish international striker Simon Makienok in the January transfer window.

The 6'7 targetman could be an interesting option for a Fulham side that have lacked physical presence up front and now realise that they are likely to be in a relegation scrap for the rest of the season.

Makienok has scored 26 goals in 51 starts in two seasons at Brondby and is now a full international with six caps for Denmark.

The 23-year-old was linked to Crystal Palace shortly after Tony Pulis took over but the former Stoke boss now seems intent on raiding his former club with Peter Crouch emerging as a top target.
