Gillingham defender Andy Frampton has received the all-clear to resume training.

The 33-year-old has not featured since suffering a blow to the head during last month's 2-1 win over Dagenham in League Two.

Frampton did not recover instantly, leaving manager Martin Allen keen for him to undergo a brain scan and ensure there was no lasting damage

Allen told Kent Online: "Andrew Frampton has probably given us the best news of the whole season, since I have been Gillingham manager."

Frampton has made 25 appearances for Gills this term and picked up his only booking so far in the opening league fixture against Bradford.
