Gills boss Ronnie Jepson admits Plymouth made a bid but he has not spoken to any more clubs about selling star winger Matty Jarvis.

The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has refused to sign a new deal, which means he looks set to exit during the transfer window, or via a summer tribunal.

But Jepson insists that Championship side Plymouth are the only firm bidders so far.

Jepson told the Medway Messenger: "The chairman had an offer from Plymouth for Matt but turned it down and I haven't spoken to anybody personally about him.

"Matt is a proper lad to work with. He never stops going and he is as honest as the day is long."
