Gillingham have completed the signing of Luton goalkeeper Dean Brill on an initial emergency seven-day loan deal

The 21-year-old shot-stopper has been drafted in to cover for first-choice Kelvin Jack, who is hampered with a shoulder injury, and will go straight into the squad to face league rivals Yeovil Town at the weekend.

The emergency loan deal means that Brill will provisionally be allowed to stay with the club for seven days, though that could be extended after on a week-by-week basis.

Defender Ian Cox and midfielder Alan Pouton missed training all week with flu, while Clint Easton will be eligible to play as his suspension for having collected five bookings so far this season doesn't start until next week.
