Debut loan goalkeeper Dean Brill was singled out for special praise by Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson, despite Saturday's loss at Yeovil
The Gills crashed to a 2-0 defeat at Huish Park, but Brill, who signed on an emergency seven-day loan last week to cover for the injured Kelvin Jack, did not let anybody down with a fine display.
Jepson said: "He was smashing. He had good presence and was excellent positionally. He's on a seven day loan so we'll have a look at it again this week and see where we go from there."
Meanwhile Jepson is hopeful his players can hit back after crashing to a third straight defeat on their travels in the space of a week.
He added: "It's been a tough week for everyone involved. Hopefully we can spend a bit of time on the training ground, put everything into perspective and get back at it again.
"We'll keep at it. We'll keep working on the training ground and see where it takes us."
