Gillingham starlet Matt Jarvis has now been linked with another Premiership club - popping up on Newcastle United's shopping list.
Glenn Roeder is said to be monitoring the 20-year-old forward who has already attracted the interest of Watford and Charlton ahead of the January transfer window.
Plymouth and Stoke both recently failed with bids for Jarvis, who is out of contract in the summer and has rejected a new deal at the Priestfield Stadium.
Reports claim the Newcastle manager sent one of his scouts to watch the highly-rated winger in action against Bournemouth at the weekend.
