Selection poser for Taylor

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor is monitoring several players ahead of the club's trip to fellow strugglers Tranmere on Friday night.

Both Chris Whelpdale (knock) and fellow midfielder Danny Hollands (knee) were forced off in the first half of last weekend's 2-2 draw against Peterborough, with the latter struggling with a more serious injury.

It is hoped Craig Fagan, Charlie Lee and Amine Linganzi will be passed fit to feature at Prenton Park having missed out of late with hamstring trouble.

Gills, just two points and three places above Rovers in the table, go into the clash having won just one of their last six matches.
