Alex Prugh leads the Bob Hope Classic by one shot after firing a third round seven-under 65 in Palm Springs, California.

The American is the third leader of the tournament in as many rounds following his bogey-free round at La Quinta, while second round leader and Prugh's fellow compatriot Bubba Watson missed the chance to join him on 21 under par with a bogey at the penultimate hole.

Watson is joined by PGA Tour rookie Martin Flores, who fired a 65 at SilverRock which took him to 20 under, one stroke behind Prugh. Joe Ogilvie carded a 68 at SilverRock to move into fourth place on 17 under with South Africa's Tim Clark a shot further back in joint fifth spot, alongside Chad Collins and Bill Haas, after a 67.

The 90-hole tournament is due to conclude on Monday after a complete day's play was lost on Thursday due to adverse weather conditions.
