Tiger Woods birdied the final two holes to claim his 67th PGA Tour title with a one-shot victory in the Memorial Tournament.
The world number one, who is still on the comeback trail following months out with knee surgery, beat his Ryder Cup team-mate Jim Furyk by one shot with a 12-under par score at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Woods sunk a nine-foot putt at the 17th before hitting his approach to 14 inches at the par-four last and tapping in to claim the trophy for a record fourth time.
American Jonathan Byrd shared third place at eight-under with compatriot Mark Wilson, but it was a bad day for the English, as Paul Casey finished at eight-over and Ian Poulter fared little better at +6.
But the day belonged to Woods, who was always confident his game would come together after stepping up his practice prior to the event.
"It was just about being patient," he said. "It was a matter of time because I was able to start practising after rounds again, and I had only been doing that for a couple of tournaments. I knew it was coming around."
And the 14-time major winner was delighted to his form with the US Open on the horizon.
"It was nice to play this well going into the US Open," he added. "This is how you have to hit it in order to win US Opens. Especially Bethpage.
"That golf course is as big as they come."
