Hamilton boss Billy Reid was delighted with his side after watching them move off the bottom of the SPL table on Wednesday night.

Accies won 2-0 away at Dundee United with a goal each for twins Marco and Flavio Paixao to end the club's nine-match losing streak.

After the game, Reid told reporters that he thought his side were deserving winners against an uninspiring Terrors' side.

He said: "I thought we started well and controlled the first 45 minutes. We passed the ball really well, created our chances and scored two good goals.

"I thought we were worthy of that at half-time. We knew United would come out fighting in the second half but I thought we contained that fairly well. I think over the 90 minutes the best team won."
