James McArthur has confirmed he will spend time on trial at Wigan Athletic but says he remains focused on the Accies' run-in.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to join forces with ex-Hamilton starlet James McCarthy at the DW Stadium.

But he admits a move away from New Douglas Park is a long way from his thoughts right now as his club battle against relegation.

"I'll train with them for a few days so that'll be good," he told BBC Scotland after his side's 1-0 defeat by Rangers.

"The gaffer and my agent is sorting it out so I'll let them deal with it and I'll just keep playing away."
