Hamilton defender Martin Canning has warned his team-mates to prepare for a Rangers backlash at Ibrox on Saturday.

The runaway SPL leaders were thrashed 4-1 at St Johnstone in midweek but their gap at the top of the table remains 10 points with a game in hand, and Canning is only too aware that the Gers handed out a 4-1 beating to Hearts last weekend.

Canning told 110sporttv: "The Rangers team is full of top pros who will bounce back quickly from a result like the one in Perth.

"They will probably have forgotten about the result already and will be focusing on the game on Saturday.

"It was a bit of a freak result anyway- you only need to look to last Saturday and the 4-1 game against Hearts to see what Rangers are capable of."
