Hamilton travel to Motherwell on Saturday for the Lanarkshire derby looking for the result that might take them off the foot of the table and Easton feels that the performance against the Gers has given the whole club a shot in the arm.
"We've lost five on the bounce now but we won't panic - the gaffer has told us that we're good enough to get out of this and I think, despite the defeat, we showed at times that we belong in the SPL," he said.
"I think we can take the positives out of the game and that will give us confidence, but we need to look at the negatives as well and maybe improve on them.
"We need to stop giving away slack goals and score more of our own, but it's a learning curve for all of us."
Hamilton will be without Chris Swailes on Saturday after he picked up a hamstring injury in the midweek Co-operative Insurance Cup defeat by Rangers.
