Hamilton forward Dougie Imrie says he is determined to keep Hamilton up this season having been relegated with Inverness previously.

The 26-year-old was part of the Caley squad that was relegated on the final day of last season and says he is keen to avoid another return to the First Division.

Hamilton are currently three points above bottom side Falkirk but are nine points adrift of the 32 points they had collected by this time last season.

Despite their current position, Imrie is convinced the club have enough quality in their ranks to avoid relegation.

"I know what it takes to try and get out of it," he told BBC Scotland. "We were very unlucky last season."

"It would be horrible for myself but also for the club and all the other players as it's not just about me.

"It's a team game and I'd be disappointed if it happened again. But I don't think we'll have to worry about that as we have enough in the locker to get us out of where we are.
