Defender Mark McLaughlin has urged boss Billy Reid to add a striker or two to the squad as they prepare for the new SPL campaign.
Accies are currently preparing for a second straight season in the Scottish top flight with Reid on the look-out for new players to strengthen the squad.
Scoring goals was a major problem for the club last season, as they netted just 30 league goals, and 33-year-old McLaughlin feels that 'up-front' is an area that could do with some help for the upcoming season.
"One thing I've learned from last season in the SPL is that we must take our chances," he said. "It's a hard league and at this level you get punished a lot more. There isn't much between the teams - on a lot of occasions if you make one mistake they will score.
"We need to strengthen our strike force. We've got Richie Offiong, who had a lot of injuries last season but hopefully he can get a good pre-season under his belt and start banging in the goals again."
