Hamilton boss Billy Reid has been linked with the vacant managerial position at English Championship club Sheffield Wednesday.

The Owls are searching for a new manager after parting ways with Brian Laws on Sunday following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Leicester City which left them in the relegation zone.

Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington, Steve Cotterill, Darren Ferguson and John Sheridan have all been linked to the Hillsborough hot seat, while reports in Scotland suggest the Owls are looking at Reid.

The 47-year-old Accies chief has caught the eye after guiding the club to the SPL and was subsequently handed the PFA Manager of the Year Award in 2008 for his achievements.

Hamilton survived their first top-flight campaign and, despite losing star player James McCarthy to Wigan Athletic in the summer, they currently sit just two points from the top six this term.
