Billy Reid admits it's important Hamilton 'start picking up points' after what has been a tough recent run of SPL fixtures.

The Accies have picked up just one point from their last six matches but Reid's men have played all of the top four teams since Boxing Day, in a tough schedule.

With the fixture list kinder over the coming weeks, the Accies boss is eyeing a decent run in order to pull away from the bottom end of the table.

Reid insisted: "We had five first-team regulars missing, but we have to start picking up points. It's been a tough schedule for us. We've got a break next week and we'll come back."
