Despite some reports to the contrary, Bolton striker Ricardo Vaz Te did not join Hamilton before the transfer window closed on Monday.

The Portuguese striker has struggled to establish himself at the Reebok Stadium and it was thought he would be allowed to leave Bolton on loan by their new boss, former St Johnstone chief Owen Coyle.

Accies were understood to have offered him the chance of a spell in the SPL but Vaz Te, who is out of contract in the summer, is said to have rejected the approach in order to remain with the Premier League club.
