Driver driven by Hearts

HeartsAndrew Driver says he will concentrate on his Hearts career instead of getting wound up by the prospect of missing out for Scotland.

The England-born striker played for Scotland at schoolboy level until the age of 15 but is unable play for the country's senior sides because players must have a connection through their family bloodline.

"I have been asked this so many times since I have come up here," the 20-year-old told the Edinburgh Evening News.

"As far as I am concerned, I would like to play international football.

"At the minute it doesn't look like it is possible, the SFA has come out and said as much, so I can't think about it too much right now.

"All I can do is concentrate on Hearts and anything that I get on top of that is a bonus for me. I played for Scotland before and I enjoyed it - I wouldn't think twice about doing it again."
