Ghana ace denies Hearts break bid

HeartsMidfielder Laryea Kingston has denied his decision to travel to watch his country Ghana last week is part of a ploy to quit Hearts.

Kingston, who could return from a thigh injury that has caused him to miss the last five games for Saturday's clash with Rangers, sparked a huge row when he decided to travel 4,000 miles to his homeland to watch Ghana in a friendly international, despite not being able to play.

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo was unhappy with Kingston amid suggestions the player was looking to create a situation which would pave the way clear for him to quit Tynecastle.

However he has hit back to deny those claims and pledged his long-term future to the Jambos.

"All the speculation that I wanted to leave the club and that I was feigning injury is not true - that's not me," he said.

"I don't want to leave this club; I like to play each and every game until the last minute.

"There is no truth in what people are saying.

"I have 18 months left on my contract and I want to work with this club until the end of my career."

Kingston added: "If the club comes and speaks to me and wants me to stay, I will have nothing against it.

"I am happy here, and my family is happy here; if we are both happy then why not stay?"
