Hearts set on striker swoop

HeartsCsaba Laszlo has confirmed that he will aim to sign a new striker for Hearts in the January transfer window.

The Jambos chief has seen his forward line depleted this week with Mike Tullberg suffering a setback in his recovery from a troublesome thigh injury while Jamie Mole picked up a suspected broken foot. As a result Laszlo's top priority will be to add to his attacking options in the New Year given that Christian Nade is the only in-form forward at Tynecastle.

He the Edinburgh Evening News: "We have a plan for January but it's too early to talk about it in detail.

"I think we maybe have some problems in two or three positions but we must look at the striker position.

"We will look to the future, for young players who can benefit the team for many years."

Laszlo also admitted that there might be some outgoings from the club.

He added: "Maybe somebody would like to take players from us and, if a player wants to leave, business goes on.

"We would like to bring players and sell but we don't want to sell and damage the team."
