Hearts manager Jim Jeffries will be without Spanish midfielder Ruben Palazuelos for a further three weeks due to a knee injury.

Palazuelos limped off during the January defeat to Aberdeen, missing Hearts' last three games and after seeing a specialist in London, has been told he has to rest for an extra three weeks before considering a return to training.

Jeffries was understandably disappointed by the news and told the club's website: "Ruben has been to see a specialist and isn't to do anything for three weeks.

"Hopefully the rest he gets will help but he certainly will be missing for at least five or six weeks."
