Former Jambos boss Jim Jefferies has taken over at Tynecastle after Hearts sacked Csaba Laszlo today.

The 59-year-old, who was manager between 1995-2000, stood down as Kilmarnock boss earlier this month after almost eight years in charge at Rugby Park.

Jefferies had been linked with the vacancies at Dundee United and Motherwell, but a return to the club he guided to their last major honour - the 1998 Scottish Cup triumph over Rangers - would appear to be a perfect fit.
