Hearts are reportedly closing in on a swoop for UD Fuerteventura of the Canary Islands' right midfielder Jesus Manuel Santana Abreu.

The 24-year-old, called Suso for short, was top scorer for the Spanish third division outfit with nine goals last term and has undergone a medical at Tynecastle. He is expected to pen a contract at some point this week and will offer Jambos boss Csaba Laszlo a host of options given that he can operate anywhere across midfield as well as in attack.
